Numerous Crashes Involving Government Vehicles in New Hampshire

FireTruck

Over the past month, New Hampshire has witnessed several worrying accidents involving public, government-affiliated vehicles. One accident involved a Fire Department vehicle, another involved a school bus, and a third involved a garbage truck. For those injured by government vehicles in New Hampshire, potential compensation may seem difficult to pursue. However, this process could be easier with help from a qualified injury attorney.

New Hampshire Fire Department Vehicle Causes Critical Injuries

In December of 2023, it was reported that a Fire Department pickup truck had collided with another pickup in Pinkham’s Grant – causing critical injuries to the senior who was driving the vehicle. The female passenger in this vehicle died of her wounds. Immediately, there were serious questions raised about the circumstances of the crash.

Police did not reveal why the individual was even driving the Fire Department vehicle in the first place, and it seems as though the driver was not responding to any emergency at the time of the crash. While police quickly launched an investigation into the incident, they did not reveal what caused the accident. This conjures up memories of a similar incident in 2020, which involved two fire trucks and nine injuries after a collision at a Manchester intersection.

School Bus Crashes in Manchester

On January 31st, it was reported that yet another school bus had crashed in Manchester. This collision reportedly involved a box truck and a third vehicle, and it was apparently caused by icy conditions. However, driver negligence may have also been a factor. Although students were on board at the time of the collision, none were injured.

Strange Incident Involving Garbage Truck Leaves Woman in Critical Condition

On January 29th, a strange incident involving a garbage truck left a woman in critical condition. Police say that the woman was nearly crushed to death inside the garbage truck after she was pulled inside its mechanisms. For whatever reason, the woman was inside a dumpster when the truck approached and tipped the contents (including the victim) into the rear trailer. The truck driver then spotted the woman after glancing at video camera footage that showed the trailer’s interior.

He immediately stopped the truck, and first responders took the woman to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Many questions remain unanswered about this incident. It is far too early to tell whether there was any negligence involved, but dump trucks have caused serious injuries in the past.
