Several Negligent Drivers Face Consequences for Causing Crashes in New Hampshire

This fall, numerous negligent drivers have caused serious car crashes in New Hampshire. Some of these accidents have been fatal, while others have led to severe injuries. While some might be encouraged to hear that these drivers are facing consequences, criminal charges cannot bring back deceased loved ones or undo permanent disabilities. Could an auto accident lawyer ensure additional penalties?
Woman Turns Herself in After Parking Lot Hit-and-Run in Manchester
In late September of 2025, Boston 25 News reported that a woman had turned herself in to the authorities after causing a hit-and-run crash in a parking lot. The incident occurred outside of a restaurant in Manchester, and it left one victim dead.
Officials say the 27-year-old struck a 60-year-old pedestrian in the parking lot. Although the elderly woman was rushed to the nearest hospital by first responders, she passed away while receiving medical attention. The driver fled the scene after the crash, but eventually did the right thing and surrendered.
Speeding Mercedes Driver Allegedly to Blame for Pileup in Plaistow
A few days earlier, a speeding Mercedes driver allegedly caused a four-car pileup in Plaistow. Officials say that the crash seriously injured a child. Three other adults were hurt in the collision, including one who suffered serious injuries. One victim was pinned between the wreckage of three totaled vehicles, and it took first responders 40 minutes to safely extricate her. Some of the injuries were life-threatening, although officials did not reveal who had suffered these injuries. Fortunately, the two most seriously wounded individuals are expected to survive after being airlifted to nearby hospitals by first responders.
Authorities report that the speeding Mercedes veered into oncoming traffic before striking a Nissan in a head-on collision. This impact also affected two SUVs. The driver of the Mercedes and a child in the Nissan allegedly suffered the worst of the injuries. Although the Mercedes driver was clearly the cause of the accident, law enforcement officers did not reveal whether they had been charged or cited as a result.
It is important to note that even though a victim might survive a car crash, this does not necessarily mean their life will ever be the same. Life-altering injuries like paraplegia, disfigurement, and amputation can cause serious, permanent issues without ending lives.
