23-Year-Old Accused of Fatal DUI Crash in Londonderry
In late July of 2025, Boston.com reported that a 23-year-old man from Londonderry had been accused of causing a drunken crash that claimed the life of one individual. The crash also caused one severe injury. Police say that at about 6:30 PM, the defendant crashed his Ford F-150 pickup truck into the victims’ Honda Civic. The impact was so severe that it left the driver and the passenger entrapped within the wreckage.
When first responders arrived, they quickly applied a tourniquet to the driver’s leg to halt rapid bleeding. They then freed them from the wreckage and rushed the two victims to the nearest hospital. The driver arrived at the emergency room in critical condition, although they stabilized and subsequently survived. The passenger, on the other hand, was pronounced dead at the hospital. This was despite the fact that they were airlifted from the crash scene in the quickest possible manner.
When the authorities arrived, they found the pickup truck driver standing outside his vehicle with no injuries. They then concluded that he showed signs of intoxication, an observation that may have been supported by subsequent tests. Police concluded that speed and intoxication were contributing factors in the crash.
The defendant now faces charges of aggravated DUI, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, reckless operation, DUI, negligent homicide DUI, and negligent homicide.
Murder Suspect Found Drunk Behind the Wheel After Newmarket Crash
In another recent incident, a murder suspect in Newmarket was arrested after causing a drunken crash. Police say that they responded to a single-vehicle accident about 20 minutes before midnight, and they subsequently located the driver with a K9 unit. Initially, this individual faced charges of second-offense DUI, conduct after an accident, and alcohol ignition interlock violations.
According to the arresting officers, statements made by the defendant caused them to carry out a welfare check on a nearby home. This welfare check led to the discovery of a deceased 38-year-old woman. Although it is unclear how the death occurred, police found her with a gunshot wound and soon charged the drunk driver with second-degree murder. They also charged him with falsifying evidence.
