Yet Another Toll Booth Crash in New Hampshire

TollBooth

New Hampshire has seen numerous toll booth crashes over the past few years. These accidents have the potential to be particularly catastrophic, and a recent incident was no exception. What can you do after a toll booth crash in New Hampshire? How can you pursue the necessary compensation for missed income, medical procedures, and psychological distress?

Single-Vehicle Crash Causes Serious Injuries

In November of 2025, multiple sources reported that a minivan had slammed into a toll booth barrier at the Everett Turnpike. The vehicle was driven by a 76-year-old individual, who was seriously injured. Her passenger was also severely injured, and both were rushed to a nearby hospital by first responders. Three dogs were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash, and two of these animals died.

Images from the scene show a completely destroyed vehicle with its side cut open. NBC News suggests that this might be the result of first responders trying to free entrapped victims. Local authorities say the woman was probably speeding at the time of the collision. Another report notes that the woman may have “veered” before the impact. The authorities are continuing to investigate other potential causes of the crash.

Some of the Worst New Hampshire Crashes Have Involved Toll Booths

New Hampshire seems to have a problem with toll booth crashes. Within the past few years, many people have died in these collisions. In 2024, a truck crashed into a toll booth before bursting into flames, killing the driver. In 2021, another driver rolled over at a toll booth, which also resulted in a fatality.

A quick Google search brings up countless other examples. So why do these crashes keep happening? What is it about toll booths that increases the risk of serious injuries? Speed and congestion remain major factors. Although it is easy to blame average drivers, some wonder whether the toll booths themselves are the real problem.

In 2024, lawmakers in New Hampshire even considered getting rid of toll booths altogether. They argued that this move would save lives. Judging by the excessive number of toll booth crashes in recent years, it is difficult to argue with this logic.
