Donald Manning, who is the marketing director at Manning & Zimmerman Law, is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire where he earned a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration. Donald also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in Political Science from Idaho State University.
Donald’s professional experience includes working on the staff of the New Hampshire House of Representatives for 17 years, serving three minority leaders and as House Chief of Staff from 2006-2010. He was twice selected to attend the Legislative Staff Management Institute; at the University of Minnesota’s Hubert Humphrey School of Public Affairs, and the University of California at Sacramento’s School of Public Affairs.
Donald presently serves on the State House Bicentennial Commission as an appointee of the Speaker of the New Hampshire House of Representatives. The commission is charged with planning an observance and celebration of the 200-year anniversary of the New Hampshire State House in 2019. Donald served from 2013-2014 on the New Hampshire Ballot Law Commission, the state body that decides election disputes and hears appeals from recounts. He was appointed by Governor John Lynch to the Judicial Conduct Committee’s Alternate Panel, where he served from 2005-2009, as well as the Athletic Trainers Governing Board, where he served from 2005-2007. Donald was a member of Manchester’s Riverfront Park Foundation from 1999-2003, and served as its president from 2001-2003. An avid historian, Donald is a member of the Manchester Historic Association.
